Pre-World War II Europe

In yeshivish culture, there are some major Yeshivas which are known not so much by their name, but are rather referred to by the name of the location they are in. Most of the following yeshivas are referred to by the name of the city they are located in.

Locations below often refer to Metropolitan areas, rather than to the city itself.
